SRA 2 TEP-Health Employees Temporary Employment 86744BR Job Summary The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $30.30 (Step Hourly Rate). UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions. Required Qualifications The overall purpose of this job is to advance publication of three projects. Duties of the SRA2 will include but are not limited to: development of computational analysis tools, analysis of imaging studies, supervising one student with their behavioural and imaging experiments. The SRA2 will carry out repetitive tasks that require skill such as fluorescent confocal microscopy, image analsysis using MatLab, running statistical tstes on collected data. The overall goal of the SRA2's project is to investigate the relationship between C. elegans sleep and memory. They will troubleshoot problems with machinery and medium; and perform other duties as assigned.
