Overview of this Position:

The internal Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment for employees, visitors, and customers. This position is responsible for ensuring all interior areas of the facility are properly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to company standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive workplace atmosphere. The custodian will work 1st shift hours of 6am-3pm in either our downtown or Caledonia locations.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • 0-1 year of custodial, sanitation, or environmental services experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or laboratory setting
  • Basic understanding of cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1+ year of custodial, sanitation, or environmental services experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or laboratory setting

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of interior spaces, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect all assigned areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance or repair needs (e.g., lighting, plumbing, equipment issues).
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, including use of appropriate PPE, chemical safety, and safe material handling practices.
  • Maintain custodial closets and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
  • Support events with room set up, clean up, furniture rearranging.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures according to company and regulatory standards.
