At Berco, we produce mission critical undercarriages for mining, construction, forestry and agriculture machinery. Together with our customers, we create long lasting solutions by combining know-how in design, forging, heat treatment, machining and assembling. We provide undercarriage components to OEMs(Original Equipment Manufacturers) for the first fit of the machines as well as the service parts to OEMs and to the independent Aftermarket.


Your responsibilities

The Berco of America Product Development Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of product developmentfrom quotation and concept definition through production release and phase-out. This position leads technical project management activities following APQP methodology, ensures alignment with customer and internal requirements, and provides the technical interface between the client and thyssenkrupp Berco manufacturing plants of BU-FT.

The Product Development Engineer coordinates cross-functional teams, prepares technical proposals, analyzes product drawings and standards, and ensures all product approvals and quality requirements are met according to IATF and automotive industry standards. This role is also responsible for technical support in new product quotations, SAP product data management, and continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and manufacturability.
