Regional President/South Region

Must reside in one of the following states:
Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina

Annual Compensation: $300,000 to $330,000 based on experience | This role is bonus eligible


The
South Regional President is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of the GMR Operations Leadership Team. The Regional President must work to meet financial objectives and support the business goals of the organization. Success will be achieved by ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, developing and retaining profitable market share, increasing growth, and embracing GMR's mission to provide care to the world at a moment's notice. This role will report to the National President.

Responsibilities:

  • The Regional President formulates and balances short- and long-term goals for the operating business units and develops distinctive strategies to achieve a competitive advantage, which align to support the organization's strategic priorities.

  • Directs the development of the region's financial, business development, and operational goals, policies, and procedures.

  • Participates in the formulation of proposed EBITA performance expectations within the region and monitors corporate-approved EBITA performance to achieve and exceed expectations.

  • Develops operating and capital budgets and re-allocates resources on an ongoing basis to optimize the use of available resources.

  • Responsible for all facets of the profit and loss of the division which includes top-line revenue to allocations and implements plans to grow revenues through increased market share and profitable contracting.

  • Designs, implements and maintains processes to maximize the quality of operations.

  • Effectively communicates strategy, GMR Vision, and strategic plan and objectives to employees.

  • Champions affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, and promotion.

  • Anticipates changes in the current business environment and allocates resources to ensure timely and effective service delivery.

  • Networks to build, maintain, and nurture relationships with the appropriate political and community leaders and participants.

  • Supports effective, timely, and cost-efficient contract administration, negotiates contract provisions and modifications, and resolves issues associated with contracts when necessary.

  • Responds to critical issues personally to ensure appropriate media relations.

  • Reports results and salient information to GMR Operations National management and staff.

  • Procures and provides resources (e.g., equipment, training, and people) to meet operational needs and support profitable growth and retention objectives.

  • Makes decisions that reflect an understanding of the various stakeholder perspectives.

  • Facilitates problem-solving within legal boundaries to reduce the risk of litigation.

  • Encourages employee involvement at all levels of the organization.

  • Develop action plans to meet goals, including setting priorities and conveying clear expectations.

  • Demonstrates an effective track record of cultivating relationships with internal and external customers.

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or appropriate field of study
    or equivalent work experience required with an advanced degree preferred.

  • 12-15 years of experience with at least 10 years in general management or leadership, including financial management (profit and loss, budgeting) and employee supervision.

  • Experience in marketing, turnaround, or start-up situations, and service industry experience all preferred with union experience a plus.
