$80-95K Direct Hire 1st Shift Germantown, WI Job Category: Manufacturing Job Details: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develop short and long range goals and objectives for department based upon company goals and objectives. Develop budget and cost controls. Develop, implement and maintain all standards and processes associated with the integrity of the company ISO standards. Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product. Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures. Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel and others in the organization. Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Conducts disposition and/or cease production decisions due to nonconforming material, parts, processes, etc. Provides inspection activity for product throughout production cycle. Applies total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department. Facilitate, develop and implement PPAP, SPC, PFMEA and APQP activities. Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Work with vendors to insure quality of all purchased parts for company use. Conducts customer visits to determine quality objectives and responsibilities in the development and launch of new products. Develops and leads quality management teams within organization. Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality. Facilitate and coordinate RGA's, product recall and/or campaigns. Develops and implements company Quality Recognition Program. Design and carry out employee training on essential job functions, ISO quality procedures, safety procedures, OSHA regulations and other government agency procedures as applicable. Ensure compliance with ISO quality procedures, safety procedures, OSHA regulations and other government agency procedures. Participates in administering company policies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; developing growth within subordinates, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. A.) from four-year college or university; or 10-20 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Expectations for candidates: Education: 4 yr degree (preferably in business, engineering, or technical field) Experience: 20 years in Machine shop environments with growth. May also have experience in Industries that deal with Raw Materials and Processing of Raw Materials, notably steel bar and tube stock, castings and forgings (must have some machining operations in addition). At least 5 continuous years Quality Program Management in leadership role with subordinates reporting to the position. Certification or certifications, prefer to see at least 1 or 2: Certified Manager of Quality/ Organization Excellence (CMQ/OE); Master Quality Manager (MQM); Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt ; Certified Quality Engineer (CQE); Certified Quality Auditor (CQA); ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification. Preference: Candidates from medium sized or smaller industry. Intangible: This position has to lead, but also motivate/develop/train the next generation of Quality Leadership within the company. NOTE: Machine Shops should be CNC 3,4 & 5 axis Machining; Multi Spindle Machining; may include Tool & Die; typically high volume, low setup machine shops. Does NOT include Fabrication (Welding, bending, assembling). | |
