Get to Know Your Team:

  • Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Operate interventional radiology equipment safely and proficiently for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and hospital staff to explain and coordinate procedures.

  • Coordinate and schedule invasive and noninvasive procedures, including handling related phone communications.

  • Accurately position patients and select proper anatomic and technical parameters for imaging.

  • Implement and maintain radiation safety and protection standards.

  • Prepare and assist physicians during special and advanced interventional procedures.

  • Administer and monitor contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and in compliance with state and federal regulations; ensure proper documentation and disposal.

  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and accurate documentation, including correct patient data, lead markers, and relevant history.

  • Access existing IVs or ports to administer medications as ordered by a physician.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program
  • ARRT Registered
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Interventional Radiology experience.
