Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout government locations. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service while carrying out armed responsibilities. You will play a key part in supporting a secure and welcoming environment for all, working with a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established procedures.
  • Carry a firearm as required for the post profile and follow all applicable laws and company policies regarding armed posts.
  • Communicate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Follow instructions and directives from Allied Universal management and client representatives while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
