Georgia-Pacific's Corrigan Plywood Mill has an opening for an HVAC Technician in our Maintenance Department. The HVAC Technician will lead the development, implementation, and execution of HVAC building automation systems at the Corrigan Plywood Mill to improve and maintain system reliability.

Key Responsibilities


* Lead the development, implementation, and execution of HVAC building automation systems to improve and maintain system reliability

* Develop and implement strategies for improving HVAC equipment reliability, including preventive maintenance (PMs), detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), and required store stock for parts

* Gain a comprehensive understanding of various equipment to reduce dependency on external contractors

* Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance and repair tasks

* Work primarily on a day shift but must be available for call-ins during outages or emergencies

* Manage multiple tasks flexibly and efficiently

* Independently manage work activities and demonstrate excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Basic Qualifications

* Experience working on package and split air conditioning systems, both water and air-condensed units

* Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule as necessary

* Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Certification

* EPA Clean Air 608 Certification for Universal Equipment

* HVAC 06A and/or 06B license

Preferred Qualifications


* Certifications in HVAC systems

* Experience or training in mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems

* Basic knowledge of MP2 maintenance software and willingness to learn more
