As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrols in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and protocols, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, addressing concerns as they arise within a chemical or petrochemical environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity, with attention to the unique risks associated with chemical and petrochemical locations.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Monitor access control points and check identification as required to help to maintain the integrity of restricted areas.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
