What to Expect
We are hiring a Controls Technician to ensure the operational efficiency of mechatronics equipment. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, including factory automation and robotics.
What You'll Do
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on mechatronics equipment
- Repair and program electrical systems 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3-phase, PLCs, and networks
- Operate and repair all cells on a production line
- Order parts and supplies as needed and log all work performed
- Read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and troubleshoot using schematics
- Address equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Execute additional tasks as directed by management
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a controls technician or engineer in manufacturing
- Strong electrical knowledge and proficiency with volt meters for AC/DC voltage checks
- Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and perform precise measurements
- Advanced computer skills and experience with job-specific applications
- Proficient in pneumatics, hydraulic systems, and control operations
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term solutions
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing Potential exposure to confined spaces, elevated heat and hazardous materials
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hat, arm protection, hearing protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
