Reporting to the Director, IT Applications and PMO, This Data Management Lead, combines leadership in data governance, management, and advanced analytics. The Data Management Lead will architect and oversee enterprise-wide data policies, ensure data quality and lifecycle integrity, and lead the development of business intelligence and machine learning solutions. The role bridges technical and business domains to enable data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and innovation.
Governance & Compliance
- Develop and implement a scalable data governance framework.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and decision rights for data ownership and stewardship.
- Create and help enforce data policies, standards, and classification protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable data privacy guidelines and standards
Data Management & Architecture
- Maintain metadata, master data, and data lifecycle management.
- Monitor and improve data quality across platforms.
- Lead data integration, enrichment, and cleanup initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to align data architecture with strategic goals.
Data Science & Analytics
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Design and develop BI solutions using NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW).
- Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support business optimization.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling.
Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed governance and analytics into workflows.
- Help lead governance councils and data science working groups.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and analytical tasks.
Change Management & Communication
- Promote data literacy and governance awareness across the organization.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop training materials and lead workshops on data best practices
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, and data science.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data warehousing.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy sector or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, NSAW, and Salesforce.
- Knowledge of machine learning, NLP, and AI readiness strategies.
- Experience with ETL pipelines, API integration, and data modeling.
