Project Manager (P.E. Required) This position is accountable for ensuring that everyone on the team knows and executes his or her role, feels empowered and supported in the role, knows the roles of the other team members, and acts upon the belief that those roles will be performed. The specific responsibilities of the Project Manager (PM) may vary depending on the client, size, and scope of the project. The incumbent in the PM position typically manages several types of projects for the firm. Desired Competencies include: supervisory skills, project management skills, and demonstrated ability to plan, communicate, and execute solid performance and interactions with his/her team and the client. The ideal candidate should be a motivated, hands-on PM who can work both independently and collaboratively to meet time-sensitive deadlines. The successful candidate adheres to company policy, works well with others, and is a motivated self-starter who can work on multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required. (Degrees in Architecture or Construction Management may be considered if accompanied by a valid Professional Engineer license.)
  2. Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required. (Candidates without a current P.E. license will not be considered.)
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
  4. Proven and applied knowledge of appropriate codes, laws, and regulations. Must be able to understand architectural, construction, and engineering concepts.
  5. 5+ years of progressive project management experience, including familiarity with activities like scheduling, ordering, quality control, and production.
  6. Proven ability to supervise others and work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Other certifications may be required (e.g., CCM Certification or DOT certification of Qualification) depending on the project type.
