The Division of Vascular Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Responsibilities include providing surgical services at Northwestern Medicine's downtown Chicago location. This role will include training (medical students, residents, and vascular surgery fellows), on-call coverage, rounding and caring for pre-op and post-op patients in concert with the clinical team, as well as responding to daily local consultation requests and referrals. The candidate will play a vital role in the growth and coordination of care and other distinctive program development throughout the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI). Appropriate candidate may also be considered for a leadership position within the division. Strong interdisciplinary collaboration provides ample research opportunities for individuals seeking a career in translational or health service research. This position will include a faculty appointment within the Division of Vascular Surgery of Northwestern University.

Qualified candidates must have a strong background in clinical vascular and endovascular surgery, have completed an ACGME-accredited vascular surgery fellowship/residency program, and are board-eligible or board certified in vascular surgery. Mid- and early career candidates are preferred. Physicians in this position may participate in academic programs of the Feinberg School of Medicine, including educational programs (e.g., training, preceptorship, mentoring, etc.) or research programs (e.g., participation in clinical trials, referring patients for clinical trials, etc.).

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $500,000 - $525,000

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
