Job Description




As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a financial institution location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear and professional communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the financial institution.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents, documenting details as required by Allied Universal and the site policies.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or clients, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to those on site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
