Job Description




As a Security Professional - Government Patrol - Day Shifts in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas in a government location, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and offering outstanding customer service while clearly communicating with individuals on-site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate and interact with authorized personnel and/or visitors, providing directions or assistance as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate written reports and logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Support access control procedures and verify credentials as required by the site's policies.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as needed during emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are present.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
