As a Supply Chain Lead (Receiving), you will be a resource for your team, assisting with the daily workflow and helping to ensure all tasks are being completed. The ideal candidate values building relationships and collaborating cross-functionally while also supporting in all aspects of receiving. Your communication will be pivotal, as you will regularly communicate with planners, buyers, and other LOB's, as to help the receiving process run smoothly throughout the network.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs regular duties of an individual contributor and as a member of the receiving team.

  • Assist the supervisor by providing training, coaching and guidance to new or existing members of the team.

  • Serves as an informational resource and collaborates with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.

  • May perform related duties such as gathering information, backing up supervisors, serving on project teams, reporting and other responsibilities.

  • Conduct research or investigate issues, as they pertain to the receiving department.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates degree or equivalent preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Leadership skills.

  • 3 years of Supply Chain experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of area work activities.

  • Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Positive, can-do attitude.

Physical Demands

  • Extensive sitting, phone and computer use.

  • Capable of standing continuously for up to 2 hours.

  • Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.

  • May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Hearing acuity sufficient to effectively communicate with customers and Employees via telephone and in person.

  • Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person.

  • Fluency in the English language.

  • Extended hours may be required.

Work Environment

  • General office, laboratory, or warehouse environments

  • Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing may be required

  • Moderate to high noise level

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to risk of electrical shock.

LEVELING GUIDE:

  • Has developed specialized skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.

  • Work typically involves technical skills and/or administrative duties within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.

  • Completes work with limited degree of supervision.
