Commercial Equipment Service Technician Opportunity in Houston, Texas!

Commercial Kitchen is seeking qualified Parts / Technical Support Clerk for our Houston Branch. We are responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial cooking equipment at customer locations.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Parts/Tech Support Clerk is to provide service to our Service Technicians by communicating with Service Technicians at the sites to understand the mechanics of the machine and pull any parts that they may need to fix or complete their job.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Support Service Technicians by researching parts, placing orders for parts needed or pulling parts from inventory to complete jobs
  • Compile and submit estimates per processes that are in place
  • Login and handle warranty parts and paperwork
  • Communicate with Dispatchers when necessary
  • Reconcile and distribute petty cash
  • Assist the Inventory Clerks when needed
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call schedules
  • Any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and other computer applications
  • Prefer previous knowledge or experience in Sage/MAS
  • Work successfully in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
  • Establish and maintain tactful, courteous, and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the general public
  • Be a self-motivator, be decisive and take the initiative to do what is needed
  • Must be efficient and organized to handle multiple task assigned at the same time
  • Must be able to work overtime, holidays, nights and weekends when needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • 1+ years' experience in customer service preferred
  • Experience in the industry or a similar role preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Office/Warehouse environment
  • Open area makes it difficult to hear at times
  • Multiple or conflicting demands, time pressures and deadlines
  • 40+ hours per week
