Job Overview

Step into a fast-paced role where your leadership and problem-solving directly drive success. As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a team in a dynamic distribution and logistics center, coordinating daily production operations to achieve maximum quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time performance. You'll tackle daily challenges, remove obstacles, and foster continuous improvement, creating an environment where your team can perform at its best. Guided by servant leadership principles, you'll help the organization adapt as operations scale and keep the team agile as the product portfolio grows. You'll drive safety, quality, and productivity while building a high-performing team. Develop your team, drive Lean improvements, and partner across departments to align execution with strategic goals. Every day, your leadership will make an impact, ensuring production runs efficiently and effectively while shaping results that matter.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure a safe and compliant workplace by conducting regular inspections, addressing safety concerns, and supporting EH&S programs to meet IR standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead and drive Lean Transformation initiatives using tools such as standard work, visual management, and 9-Step Problem Solving to eliminate waste and improve safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Champion quality and customer satisfaction by implementing process controls, reducing defects, and responding proactively to delivery changes and special instructions.

  • Supervise and develop production associates, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and training to build capability and engagement.

  • Manage daily operations and schedules to ensure deadlines are met, materials are available, and production flows smoothly while identifying and resolving barriers.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture through open communication, associate involvement programs, and strong cross-functional relationships.

  • Promote continuous improvement and problem-solving, focusing on process enhancements and driving behaviors that support operational excellence.

  • Align team objectives with organizational goals, ensuring progress toward short- and long-term plans while maintaining high morale and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.



Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2+ years in a distribution operations environment

  • 3+ years leading a team in a supervisory capacity



Core Competencies:


  • Demonstrated ability to build team capability through effective staff selection, coaching, performance evaluation, and employee development.

  • Proven expertise in Lean and Operational Excellence, including hands-on application of standard work, visual management, and structured problem-solving.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills to identify issues, improve processes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Experience managing operations across multiple functional areas within manufacturing or distribution environments.

  • Adaptability to take on responsibilities beyond core scope, with solid proficiency in common business software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).



Preferences:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business discipline



Travel and Work Arrangements


  • Position is based onsite in Charlotte, NC

  • Part of daily duties involves occasional lifting of objects, periodic stooping and bending, with frequent walking and standing throughout the day.

  • Work may involve special safety precautions when operating or working near moving parts, machinery, or power equipment.

  • Requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, vests, protective footwear).
