Position Overview:

The Senior Network Engineer plays a key technical role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's global network infrastructure. This position ensures the reliability, performance, and security of corporate and manufacturing site networks across multiple regions including the U.S., EMEA, LATAM, and APAC. The Senior Network Engineer provides advanced support, mentorship, and expertise in complex network environments, collaborating closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver robust and scalable network solutions that align with business and security objectives.

Responsibilities:



  • Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Maintain and enhance global network performance, ensuring redundancy, scalability, and high availability.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex network incidents, changes, and problem resolution.
  • Configure and manage network security tools and devices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Collaborate with the Network Manager to execute network strategies, policies, and technology roadmaps.
  • Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis, and tuning to ensure optimal network efficiency.
  • Deploy and maintain monitoring and alerting tools such as SolarWinds, Meraki Dashboard, and Infoblox to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Perform network assessments, audits, and documentation to ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, NIST).
  • Lead network projects, upgrades, and migrations in collaboration with global IT and business teams.
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and IT support staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; advanced certifications or a Master's degree are advantageous.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in enterprise networking with hands-on exposure to design, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex multi-site environments.
  • Certifications: Cisco CCNP or equivalent required; CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or cloud networking certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), firewall configuration, SD-WAN technologies, wireless networking, and VPN solutions. Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Meraki environments preferred.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with global teams, vendors, and IT management while providing mentorship and leadership to junior technical staff.
