Position summary:

Material Management of inventory and non-inventory items as they are related to work performed by COE to include consumable items, certain safety gear or PPE, items for project work and inventory items used on day-to-day project work, to include but not limited to poles, pipe, transformers, switch gears, etc.

Pay Range: $25.01 - $35.18 per hour (Determined by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Reporting Relationship: Material Supervisor

Location: Pueblo or Canon City Colorado

Essential Functions:
o Inventory management through processing of transactions to include receiving, putting away of stock, issuing of stock, cycle counts, adjustments, transfers, reconciliations, credits through resource planning system (PeopleSoft).
o Fills orders for materials and supplies as needed by all internal departments.
o Unload semis and small commercial trucks and receive material on purchase orders.
o Stock and label inventory on shelves, clean and maintain storerooms and inventory yards.
o Verifies shipments against purchase orders and receiving reports, enters data.
o Prepares outbound freight and sets up logistics and shipments.
o Coordinates with operations to ensure materials are available.
o Performs periodic (Cycle Counts) and annual inventories of all stock material.
o Required to follow storeroom operating procedures

Additional Responsibilities:
o Maintain positive working relationships with all company employees, including operations supervisors and managers as well as other interdependent departments within the organization.
o All annual safety training and refresher training as required.

What Is Required:
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License.

What Is Desired:
o Preferred warehouse experience and/or knowledge.
o Ability to acquire personal computer skills to include data entry, Word, Excel, and other company related software programs.
o Familiar with purchasing procedures.
o Ability to gain knowledge of materials for transmission, distribution and substation operations.
o Ability to gain knowledge of construction standards, manual and company accounting procedures.
o General math, with knowledge of line construction materials and office supplies.
o Ability to gain inventory tracking skills.
o Ability to operate a forklift, will maintain forklift operator certification.
