About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance Clerk to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Maintenance Clerk, you will assist the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in coordinating inventory efforts to maximize efficiency. This role is responsible for managing physical material movement, tracking, documentation, inventory accuracy, reporting, and customer service.


Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 2nd
  • Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Weekend Availability: Required


Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $27 - $28.25 (includes $0.50/hour shift differential)


Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

  • Maintain spare parts service levels, inventory turns, and accuracy.
  • Develop action plans with deadlines to achieve inventory goals and track progress.
  • Utilize CMMS to resolve inventory issues, reduce costs, and improve machine uptime.
  • Establish and maintain stockroom policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor stockroom security and perform cycle counts as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom.
  • Manage outgoing shipments, including bill of ladings, scheduling, and packing.
  • Supervise dispensing of parts for job kitting and inspect parts upon receipt.
  • Help manage spare parts for Capex inventory.
  • Engage in all aspects of safety, including food safety, with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Direct knowledge of procurement to point-of-use in manufacturing.
  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures and report unsafe conditions.
  • Ability to obtain an industrial lift license.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Internet, and CMMS.
  • Hands-on knowledge of MRO spare parts.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs in food manufacturing and safe operations.
  • Fluent in reading and writing English.
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and proper storage/disposal practices.


Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Prior experience in inventory control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement processes.
