Overall Summary

Participates in Robotic System daily activities at hospitals and ASCs. Provides clinical sales support to all end users and on-site guidance during surgical procedures. Drives continuous expansion of the user base by working with key hospital staff, thought leaders, referring doctors, and distributors in territory to increase procedural/implant volume. Obtains re-orders for products consumed during surgical procedures. Provides training, in-services, and customer education to assigned account(s). Provides feedback on product design to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Partners with managers and account executives in selling the clinical benefits of the company's products.

Your duties will include:



  1. Provides surgeons and operating room staff with support in the operation of the company's robotic arm system and associated equipment and instruments
  2. In conjunction with clinical managers and distributors, trains physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, radiology and central sterile processing on the use of the system, accessories, disposables and implants
  3. Supports in account launches, partnering with distributors and the technical support team(s) to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
  4. Provide customer service to the hospital and ASC customers
  5. Actively engages with product validation activities or data collection as directed by management
  6. Provides complete reports and associated metrics to management, direct supervisor and company's regulatory department detailing case reviews, services performed and recommendations for product, documentation and methodology improvements
  7. Supports company demonstrations and industry events as directed by management
  8. Provides frequent communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to high customer satisfaction via FDA complaint and / or service report systems
  9. Supports clinical affairs manager on clinical studies to ensure they are executed appropriately and that all data is collected and communicated in a timely manner while respecting all aspects of HIPAA regulations; also supports product evaluation surveys and COE (Center of Excellence) agreements

About You

  • Ability to be proficient at cross functional collaboration with R&D/Marketing/Sales/Distributor levels


  • Knowledge of the operating room environment/orthopedics

  • Self-motivation / directed, detail oriented and a proven history of ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
  • Ability to travel up to 75% both domestically and internationally



YOUR EDUCATION

Required: BS/BA Degree

Preferred: Related Field BS/BA Degree

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years Medical Technology experience and minimum 1 year Medical Device Sales or Sales Management experience; Orthopedic robotics experience preferred



  • Proven track record in sales of or clinical excellence in medical device technology, preferably with a surgical device company
  • Working knowledge of surgical robotics in the medical device space


  • Proven track record in business development in orthopedic robotics
  • Must have experience with disruptive technology and be able to function in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
  • Experience successfully launching technology and building a robotic program
