Milliman's CMH Health Practice is looking for current college students pursuing a bachelor's or master'sdegree in math, finance, computer science, economics, statistics or related major with quantitative course work to partake in a winter pharmacy analytics internship. This is a part-time internship from January to June 2026.

In this role, the Pharmacy Analytics Intern will work in a fast-growing area of the Health practice by helping support our pharmacy group in helping clients navigate the complex industry and provide data-driven solutions that can improve or lower the cost of care. This individual will be involved in reviewing pharmacy claims data, inputting data elements into various clinical and financial forecasting models and engaging with a variety of internal colleagues for support, learning, and mentorship to explain the rationale behind the activities.

Job Responsibilities



  • Learn about qualitative and financial evaluations of PBM contracts, including pricing and fee schedules.
  • Assist with developing models to conduct detailed analyses of pharmacy data, including pharmacy claims, eligibility data, etc.
  • Contribute to acquiring, standardize, and merge various data sets to provide summarized reports.
  • Observe and contribute to drafting proposals, presentations, exhibits, RFPs, and reports.
  • Be able to work independently, but in a collaborative team environment.
  • Observe consulting activities includingpricing, reserving, financial projections, model development, forecasting, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Contribute to technical work, which may include analyzing pharmacy financial data.


Minimum requirements



  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master'sdegree in math, finance, computer science, economics, statistics or related major with quantitative course work. Recent graduates will also be considered.
  • Prior experience working with U.S. healthcare claims is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy reimbursement in the United States.
  • Available to work part-time from January to June 2026.
  • Strong technical skills, to include experience and proficiency with Microsoft office tools such as (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Compensation: The overall hourly range for this role is $19 - $38 per hour.

For candidates residing in:

Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia:



  • $21 - $38 per hour


All other states:



  • $19 - $35 per hour


A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.

Location and Schedule: It is preferred that candidates work on-site at our Milwaukee, WI, Chicago, IL, or Hartford, CT office, however, remote candidates will be considered. This is a part-time internship, which allows up to 29 hours per week. This position is from January to June 2026 with the opportunity to extend based on performance.
