The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Process Improvement, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, including coordinating with team facilitators and change management champions to ensure successful implementation of project recommendations, with experience using industry-standard process improvement models
  • Process Improvement certification (LEAN, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Green Belt) required upon hire
  • Change Management certification (Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent) preferred or required within six months of hire
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork, relationship building, and the ability to coach and influence up and across the organization
  • Ability to see the bigger picture, manage complex initiatives, identify resistance, and implement sustainable improvements
  • Proficient in using Value Stream maps, charts, and other tools to visualize workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Skilled in monitoring metrics and tracking the effectiveness of process improvements
  • Able to apply Lean principles across the organization, fostering continuous improvement and employee engagement
  • Experienced in conducting role-based time studies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Flexibility, patience, and resilience to adapt to evolving organizational priorities and participate in storm roles as required

Salary Range: $83,664 - $ 104,580 annually - commensurate with experience

Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading, facilitating, and/or enabling process efficiencies and controllership to support organizational oversight and management of key activities.

Primary Functions:

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise for planning, managing and implementation of business unit continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Manage multiple initiatives which may have many internal and external dependencies, are complex in scope, have multiple integration points, and are worked within multiple teams of resources;
  • Assign tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines to initiative team members;
  • May be accountable for the financial management of assigned initiatives, including integration opportunities and cost reductions;
  • Complete reporting, monitoring and evaluation activities of current projects and/or actions targeted to improve key metrics and customer insights;
  • Accountable for project delivery including meeting time, quality, and customer standards;
  • Provide consultative support to leadership within context of overall strategic objective to initiate actions to improve the customer experience and gain process efficiencies;
  • Serve as an integral part of a team that will develop and lead the deployment of continuous improvement infrastructure throughout the business unit;
  • Provide insight and guidance from a business perspective on the direction and continued utilization of Continuous Improvement methodologies;
  • Drive changes in the organizational measurement systems to effectively monitor key strategic focuses, shifting the organization to end-to-end process management beyond current functional focus;
  • Work with all levels (leaders, managers, and associates) of assigned areas to identify opportunities for improvement, structure efforts to achieve the targeted improvements and establish measurement systems to monitor performance;
  • Develop and maintain relationships throughout business unit to enable business objectives and issue resolution and program consistency;
  • Provide Continuous Improvement consulting/coaching/training to employees across the assigned business area, and to department interns, as needed;
  • Mentor the organizational stakeholders and project teams in the use and support of continuous improvement methodologies as applicable;
  • Provide coaching, consulting, and guidance to leaders, managers, and associates across the assigned business area regarding the use of Continuous Improvement tools for process/system enhancements;
  • Utilize change management tools and methodologies in project leadership;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:
  • Process improvement methodologies and supporting tools;
  • Process flow maps, charts and other tools to identify root cause and monitor current metrics and process improvements;
  • Change management methodologies and practices;
  • Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following:
  • Operating systems for which process improvement initiatives are identified;
  • Software Application (i.e. EnterpriseOne, Insight, SharePoint);
  • Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Perform data manipulation and analysis (graphical and statistical) as required in support of performance metric reporting;
  • Demonstrate use of data to define root cause;
  • Plan project timelines and milestones, track progress, monitor and communicate project status, and determine project costs, benefits, and controls. Identify and resolve project barriers and/or risks. Build and implement a sustainable control plan;
  • Use end-to-end mapping and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement that positively impact up-stream and down-stream business partners;
  • Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios and percentages;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, scanner, etc.).

Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineer, Process Improvement, or other related field of study from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience of leading continuous improvement initiatives including coordination with team facilitators and champions (management) to ensure project recommendations are implemented. Process continuous improvement experience with one of the industry standard models
  • Process Improvement Certification (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Green Belt) required upon hire
  • Change Management Certification preferred or required within 6 months of hire
  • Project Management Certification preferred
