Quality Assurance Manager

We're seeking a seasoned Quality Manager who's ready to lead, elevate, and inspire. In this role, you'll shape the future of our Quality Assurance function - strengthening the systems that keep us compliant while championing the continuous improvements that move our business forward.

You'll guide a dedicated QA team, cultivate a culture of operational excellence, and make a meaningful impact across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quality Assurance function driving compliance with AS9100 standards, regulatory requirements and customer expectations
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems (QMS) that balance structure with flexibility to meet business needs
  • Guide cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into design, production, and delivery processes
  • Train, mentor, and empower workforce to adopt effective quality practices throughout the organization
  • Champion internal audit excellence and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance
  • Provide strategic oversight while being hands-on when necessary to address critical quality issues
  • Identify risk to compliance and quality, implement corrective actions, and drive root cause analyses
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to align QA objectives with broader business goals.
  • Motivate, inspire, and develop a diverse team of quality professionals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with leaders, quality stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record as a leader in Quality Assurance
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Quality Technician or Quality Analyst in the aerospace or defense industry
  • Experience with AS9100 standards and certification processes
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate teams and drive accountability while fostering collaboration
  • Ability to balance enforcing standards with rigidity and adapting practices to meet dynamic operational challenges
  • Ability to balance competing priorities to drive tasks to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying gaps and implementing innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in quality auditing, SCAR, CAPA
  • Ability to build trust with cross-functional teams and leaders to influence decision making to align with quality goals and desired behaviors

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with quality metrology or CMM operation
  • Experience with supplier qualification and approval
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, processes and tools
  • Experience with project management

Typical Education/Experience:

  • 10-14 years related experience with a bachelor's degree or 8-12 years related experience with a master's degree.

Please note that the salary information show below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications and work location.

Typical Hiring Range: 108,000.00 - 148,500.00
