TEKsystems is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a 1-year contract opening located in Redmond, WA. Potential for extension and permanent conversion. Position sits on-site in Redmond, WA 5 days per week. Must have experience working in an enterprise environment with OSPF, BGP and Python. Ideally have experience with Cisco, Juniper and Linux. Description* * Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking IP routing core technologies such as OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, ACLs DNS DHCP IPAM etc. * Experience with one or more of the following router server load balancer and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco Juniper Alcatel-Lucent Arista Brocade Extreme Citrix F5 Fortinet Palo Alto etc. * 2 years of major internet routing protocols experience through network layers 1-4. * 2 years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience. * Experience Python and providing valuable insights. * 1 years of automation scripting using Python Bash Shell and/or Perl experience. * Lead improvements in existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance or develop new processes. * Experience working in a highly available network and highly operationally aware. * Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures. * Experience with IPv6/IPv4 Design and implementations.
