Overview TEKSystems is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing administrative and operational support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities * Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service. * Register patients and maintain accurate patient information in the system. * Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, co-insurance, and deductibles. * Review and process documentation to ensure compliance with payer guidelines. * Support operational workflows including intake, verification, and data analysis. * Assist with process improvement initiatives and training on procedures. * Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and payer requirements. * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve patient inquiries and ensure timely service delivery. Qualifications * Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. * Experience: * 2+ years of experience in patient services, healthcare administration, or customer service. * Familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems preferred. * Skills: * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel macros experience is a plus. * Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines preferred. * Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment and work independently or as part of a team. * Skills: * Ability to work onsite 5 days a week - this is not a hybrid or remote role * 8am-5pm CST Mon-Fri Key Competencies * Customer service orientation * Attention to detail and accuracy * Problem-solving and critical thinking * Technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jefferson City, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
