The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Group (SIG) supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center in the acquisition of the LGM-35A Sentinel (GBSD) ICBM weapon system. SIG delivers program management, systems engineering, and subject matter expertise to ensure on-time delivery of a safe, secure, and reliable strategic nuclear weapon system. SIG is conducting an immediate hire for a Program Analyst at Hill AFB, Utah.

This position will directly support the Sentinel Program's Command & Launch (C&L) Branch as they acquire the weapon system command & control capabilities for the next generation ICBM. Duties of the Secondary Launch Capabilities (SLC) project manager include providing expert advice and support to Sentinel program mangers throughout the acquisition cycle. Areas of responsibility that fall under the SLC Section include:

  • Aircraft Integration
  • Codes & Cryptography
  • Cryptographic Key Distribution

Responsibilities

Specifically, this C&L team member will be responsible for supporting the government customer in the review, and assessment of the Sentinel prime contractor's designs, documentation, architectures, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products in order to meet Sentinel acquisition requirements and timelines. Our team provides expertise on weapon system and lab architectures; concepts of operation; modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A); and plans for addressing command & control integration options. This team member will assist in the day-to-day operations of the C&L Team including status tracking, meeting support, contract performance monitoring, and integrated master schedule (IMS) management. The position interacts with government customer staff and senior leaders in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Headquarter Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command, the National Security Agency, U.S. Strategic Command, as well as other Sentinel team partners from Federally-Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs). This team member will also coordinate and integrate actions with other program managers, engineers, logisticians, testers, and external agencies.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have current (within last 6 years) SECRET security clearance or higher and be able to obtain Top Secret and SAP clearances within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Must be able to work at Hill AFB in Utah.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive technical experience in project management.
  • Must be able to self-motivate and operate both independently and within team environments.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Earned Value and/or cost account manager (CAM) experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to rapidly learn, schedule management programs such as Primavera or Microsoft Project is desired.
  • DoD acquisition experience/accreditation or equivalent is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communications skills in addition to sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with customer and company personnel.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to rapidly learn, DoD acquisitions activities in accordance with DoD Directive 5000.01 and DoD Instruction 5000.02, as well as any other relevant U.S. law, DoD, CJCS, USAF, or other Service Component directives, policies, instructions, or guides.
