Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Patrol in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for all on site. This is a driving post, requiring regular patrols and exceptional customer service as you interact with employees and visitors, reflecting our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or security-related hazards in all assigned areas, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances and/or unauthorized access within the location.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to uphold security-related standards and protocols specific to the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
