What to Expect Tesla START is an intensive 16-week training program that provides students the skills necessary for a successful career at Tesla to become either an Equipment Maintenance Technician OR Process Technician. During the program, students develop technical expertise and earn certification through in-class theory, hands-on labs and self-paced learning. This is a non-exempt position; students are hired into the program as a Tesla Technician Trainee with full pay and benefits. Successful graduates of theprogram will convert to a full time Technician role.
