What to Expect
We are seeking an accomplished
Senior Facilities Engineer - Mechanical
to lead and support our advanced manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of our facilities infrastructure, with a strong focus on production environments, HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, welding gas delivery systems, air compressors, and related mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will bring 7
+ years of hands-on experience
in both design and operations, combining strategic engineering leadership with practical problem-solving in high-tech manufacturing environments.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership for mechanical systems supporting manufacturing, including cleanroom HVAC, process cooling, cooling towers, compressed air, and thermal fluid systems
- Lead the design, specification, installation, and commissioning of new facilities equipment and mechanical infrastructure
- Drive optimization and troubleshooting of existing systems to improve reliability, performance, and energy efficiency
- Serve as the subject matter expert in production environments, such as welding stations, paint-booths, assembly areas, ensuring compliance with environmental control requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, EHS, quality, and R&D, to align facilities capabilities with operational goals
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for critical mechanical assets
- Oversee vendor management, bid processes, and capital project execution for mechanical upgrades and expansions
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in facilities mechanical engineering within manufacturing, semiconductor, or petro-chemical-based industries
- Proven expertise in both design and operations of mechanical systems, including HVAC, building controls, cooling towers, chillers, and compressed air systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical codes (ASME, ASHRAE, etc.), Building control systems, and energy management principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale capital projects from concept through commissioning
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical, operational, and business priorities
- Proficient in facilities engineering software tools, CAD, and energy modeling
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface at all organizational levels
