You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of risk management and asset health, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on the reliability and efficiency of services that power communities.

Summary:

The main function of the Data Analyst is to modeling efforts around project risk management as well as asset health and operations risk. This role will be supporting the Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Risk Management offices with upcoming projects.

Job Responsibilities:

* Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies

* Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system

* Develop local database and integrate with various internal applications and external sources to query, store, and process data

Required Skills:

* Experience with database technologies

* Knowledge of at least one scripting language including Python and related packages (e.g.NumPy, etc)

* Strong written and oral communication skills

* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

* Demonstrated history of success

* Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions

* Basic knowledge of statistics and Monte Carlo simulation techniques

Preferred Skills:

* Experience working in utilities, electric, and/or natural gas preferred

* Familiarity with AI in a professional setting

* Experience with:

* At Risk software (highly preferred)

* MS Projects/MS Dynamics (highly preferred)

* Snowflake

* SAP

* Tableau

* Power BI

Education/Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

* 2-4 years applicable experience required

This is a part-time (30 hours / week) W2 opportunity that is onsite in Houston, TX. Only local candidates will be considered. (sorry, no C2C)
