Worksite Requirement: 2-days onsite
Salary Conversion Target: $150,000-$160,000
Hourly Pay Rate: $60.00 - $65.00 / hour, W2

Overview
Vaco by Highspring is looking for asenior Site Reliability Engineer who can partner with development and architecture teams to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role-not support-focused on automation, cloud reliability, and building systems the right way.This role will require working onsite in Arlington, TX 2-days per week. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must be legally eligible to work in the United States, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build reliability, automation, and tooling across distributed systems

  • Collaborate directly with architects and software engineers to incorporate reliability principles into new features and platform enhancements

  • Define and implement SLOs/SLIs and guide reliability best practices

  • Participate in design conversations for microservice-based and distributed systems; advise on patterns that improve fault tolerance and performance

  • Write production-quality code (Java, Python, or similar) for automation and platform improvements

  • Apply Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform) to build, validate, and manage cloud environments (Azure)

  • Troubleshoot complex systems and improve resiliency, scaling, and performance

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering

  • Strong coding background (C#, Java, Python, etc.)

  • Deep Azure experience + Kubernetes (AKS)

  • Experience with CI/CD, IaC, distributed systems, and cloud monitoring

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills


Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
