Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $60,000 (minimum) - $78,000 (midpoint) - $96,000 (maximum)

As theSenior Credit and Collections Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the company's accounts receivable, assessing credit risk, and driving efficient collection processes. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management, exceptional customer service, and analytical capabilities to support the organization's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management:Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments, sending invoices, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

  • Credit Risk Assessment:Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant data to mitigate risk.

  • Collections Oversight:Lead the collections process by contacting customers, negotiating payment plans, and resolving outstanding debts in a professional and timely manner.

  • Mentorship and Leadership:Provide guidance, training, and support to junior Credit and Collections Specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.

  • Projects and Automation:Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies within the credit and collection's function. Lead or contribute to projects aimed at streamlining workflows, enhancing system capabilities, and improving overall team performance.

  • Reporting and Analysis:Prepare detailed reports and analyze data related to accounts receivable and collections, identifying trends and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.

  • Financial Analysis:Strong ability to interpret financial statements, credit reports, and other data to make informed decisions.

  • Risk Assessment:Expertise in assessing and managing credit risk to minimize exposure.

  • Collections Management:Proven ability to oversee and optimize collections processes, including dispute resolution and payment negotiation.

  • Communication:Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior leadership.

  • Customer Service:Commitment to delivering high-quality service and resolving issues professionally and promptly.

  • Attention to Detail:Precision in managing financial data, tracking accounts, and ensuring accuracy in reporting.

  • Organizational Skills:Strong multitasking ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Problem Solving:Critical thinking skills to identify challenges, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies.

  • Technology Proficiency:Familiarity with financial software, tools, and systems to efficiently manage accounts and collections.

  • Team Collaboration:Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.

  • Leadership and Mentorship:Experience in coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members to foster growth, collaboration, and high performance.
