As a Business Systems Analyst & Programmer at Coperion in KC, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing Testlab Suite, a home-grown application. Testlab Suite enables users to request tests and allows Testlab personnel to manage timing, data, and reports. Your efforts will ensure the system remains reliable and evolves to support additional lab facilities and technical resources, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and data management capabilities. Development primarily occurs in Visual Studio 2022 and SQL Server Management Studio v20, with supporting applications in the development stack. The source code is managed within a Git repository. What You'll Do:
Maintain and support the existing Testlab Suite application to ensure continuous, reliable operation. Develop and implement enhancements to improve system functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency. Expand the Testlab Suite to include additional laboratory facilities and technical resources, facilitating broader operational integration. Manage and optimize SQL Server databases using SQL Server Management Studio to ensure data integrity and performance. Develop, troubleshoot, and refine code within Visual Studio 2022, ensuring high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with team members through GIT repositories to manage source code effectively and maintain version control. Ensure seamless integration of new features with existing systems, minimizing disruptions. Support data management, reporting, and timing functionalities within the Suite to meet operational needs. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance laboratory operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Proven 1-3 years of experience in software development, database management, and system integration. Familiarity with Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and GIT repositories. Understanding of network interactions and basic troubleshooting skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with developing and supporting enterprise-level applications. Knowledge of laboratory or manufacturing testing environments. Familiarity with additional programming languages or development tools relevant to the role. Prior experience managing complex databases and optimizing SQL Server performance. Ability to adapt quickly to evolving project requirements and technical challenges.
