Global Applications & Technical Service Leader

About the Role

This role is a critical growth enablerfor our Probiotics and Health Science Ingredients business, the leader in the probiotics, dietary supplements industry, with significant upside potentialoperating in a fastmoving, influencerdriven, highvolatility market.

The Global Head of Applications & Finished Format Innovation will elevate formulation excellence, finished format capability, and application thought leadership across regions, transforming applications from a support function into a source of differentiation, speed, and commercial impact.

This leader will combine deep technical expertise, innovative thinking, and strong changemanagement capabilitiesto raise the performance, consistency, and influence of global application teams-ensuring our solutions win in a market that moves at lightning speed.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of how formulation, strain characteristics, processing, various delivery formats and stability interactto deliver realworld performance for a probiotic blend.
• Proven ability to translate complex science into differentiated, scalable, commercially winning solutions that could be showcased with impact to our B2B customers .

• Set the global vision for formulation and finished format excellence, positioning Applications as a strategic enabler of growth and competitive advantage.
• Lead and transform global Application and Technical Service teams, elevating capabilities, standards, and business impact acrossregions.
• Drive innovation in probiotic delivery formats, enabling rapid translation of strain science into marketready, scalable, consumerrelevant solutions.
• Embed speed and agilityinto application development, optimizing processes to match fastcycle, influencerdriven market dynamics.
• Establish global best practices and platformsfor formulation, stability, and performance validation, accelerating timetomarket.
• Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Product Managementto shape compelling customer solutions, launch narratives, and tradeshow concepts.
• Serve as a visibletechnical thought leader,externally with customers and internally as a catalyst for learning and ambition

Education and Experience

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with 10 years in probiotics (preferred) or wider dietary supplement ingredients.
• Proven leadership in large, global, matrix organization, with success leading through influence.
• Proven leadership in managing cross cultural teams and cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at the intersection of science, commercialization, and speed.
• Commercial acumen and B2B sales support experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
