Job Description




As a Security Officer - Industrial Dispatch in Lake Forest, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and coordinate incoming and outgoing communications for the site, including phone, radio, and electronic messaging systems.
  • Dispatch security-related personnel and resources to incidents, alarms, or requests for assistance within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all dispatch activities, incidents, and communications as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points through dispatch systems and reporting any irregularities.
  • Support regular and random patrols by coordinating patrol schedules and tracking patrol activities, helping to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate important information and updates to Allied Universal management and site leadership in a timely and professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. This is preferred.
  • Have experience with access control or badge systems. This is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
