As a Security Officer - Government Center - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong, visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate with team members to uphold a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and visitor management as required by site-specific procedures.
• Support Allied Universal management and collaborate with public agencies and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
