Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Manager for the Center Advancing Research and Evaluation for Patient-Centered Care (
CARE-PC) at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Reporting to the Director of Administration, this role oversees day-to-day research activities, including leading marketing initiatives, supporting faculty recruitment, and supervising Center staff. The Program Manager provides administrative direction, ensuring compliance with institutional federal and regulatory requirements for future and currently assigned programs such as the
NJACTS KL2 Career Development Program (
NIH award) and the
LHS E-STaR P30 (
PCORI and
AHRQ awards). Responsibilities also include planning, coordinating, and managing grant budget proposals, as well as overseeing grant submissions, progress reports, and pre/post-award management.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Directs marketing initiatives which includes annual report, website development, brochures, and other related advertising of the Center, KL2, LHS, and other faculty training programs.
- Supports/oversees scheduling/interview/visits and activities for the KL2 and LHS programs and manages related staff activities for faculty within the Center.
- Supports pre and post award grants management including KL2 and LHS grant awards, working in conjunction with program support team on the completion/submission of progress reports and proposals and the submission of grants with PI and post docs of Center.
- Manages activities of the NJACTS - KL2 Career Development Program, and the LHS E-STaR P30.
- Composes various letters and memos for KL2 and LHS Directors, including letters of recommendation for colleagues and students for promotions, grant proposals, etc.
- Interviews, orients, supervises, disciplines, and oversees activities of program support staff, which includes calendar management, coordination of Center meetings, procurement, and invoicing activities.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree (Masters preferred) in Public or Business Administration, the Social Sciences or a related field is required; plus, five (5) or more years of progressively more responsible professional experience inclusive of day-to-day operational, financial, and program management responsibilities in a business office, government agency or university setting.
- Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
