Job Description

Position Summary:

The Manager, Manufacturing Systems will lead the solution design, implementation, and integration of shop floor systems at our SPS Jenkintown facility -including MES, SCADA, Quality Management Systems, and Industry 4.0 automation. This role drives manufacturing improvements, OEE, manufacturing data collection, production reporting, and product quality testing, leveraging technologies such as AI, containerization, energy monitoring, robotic automation, PLCs, OPC/UA, MQTT, and advanced machine controls.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help select and implement smart shop floor systems to include MES, SCADA, and Quality; define integrations with ERP using Boomi.
  • Ensure systems implementations progress on time and on budget.
  • Deploy solutions for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tracking, data collection, production reporting, and energy monitoring.
  • Improve OEE and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of production reporting.
  • Integrate QMS and product quality workflows with MES and ERP.
  • Partners with Enterprise Systems Team, Plant Operations, Quality, Engineering, Division/Corporate IT (ERP, security, network), Controls/Automation vendors, and data/analytics teams.
  • Aligns to PCC's MES-SCADA-ERP boundary model and Automation Checklist expectations during project design and reviews
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with plant operations, IT, and automation teams.
  • Integration MES/SCADA/QMS with ERP.
  • Maintain compliance with IT/OT security standard

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with MES/MOM, SCADA, and ERP integration (Infor SyteLine a plus)
  • Knowledge of PLCs, OPC/UA, MQTT, and machine control systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP, QMS, robotic automation, and energy monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and manufacturing data pipelines.
  • Experience with AS9100, AS13100, or Aerospace Quality Requirements preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate proactively and effectively with all levels and stakeholders.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred.
