Position Overview

We are seeking a bold, high-impact global leader to serve as the Senior Manager of Strategy, Alliances & Operations for Global eCommerce. Reporting directly to the Global eCommerce Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this is a highly visible leadership role sitting at the critical intersection of long-term strategy, multi-billion dollar partner alliances, and operational excellence.

You will define how Lenovo leverages its most critical partnerships (e.g., Intel, AMD, Microsoft) to accelerate global growth while simultaneously orchestrating the organizational "rhythm of business." From leading the STAMP annual planning cycle to executive-producing the Global Web Summit, you will ensure the global marketing engine is aligned, funded, and executing with precision.

Key Responsibilities

1. OWN - Global Strategic Direction & Alliances

  • Integrated Planning: Lead the creation of the annual STAMP strategic plan and drive critical quarterly planning for the entire Global eCommerce Marketing organization.
  • Strategic Agenda: Own the global partnership roadmap, encompassing strategic alliances and flagship eCommerce tentpole events, specifically the Global Web Summit.
  • Relationship Leadership: Serve as the strategic global lead for core Alliance partners (e.g., Intel, AMD, Qualcomm) to drive mutual growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and lead the Business Management System (BMS) to ensure rigor in the activation of annual and quarterly plans.
  • Event Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end sponsorship, content development, and execution strategy for the Global eCommerce organization's flagship event-the Global Web Summit.

2. GOVERN - Operational Rigor & Global Deployment

  • Business Management System (BMS): Govern the integrity of the full-year BMS, ensuring timing and content alignment across Geography (Geo) and Center of Excellence (CoE) leaders.
  • Global Alliance Frameworks: Lead the development of global playbooks, co-funding models, and messaging guardrails to ensure consistency across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee the team responsible for co-marketing and alliance funding allocation, utilization, and ROI, while managing budget tracking for the Office of the CMO.
  • Operating Model: Optimize the organizational cadence-refining meeting structures, decision-making processes, and accountability flows-across the Global eCommerce Marketing organization.

3. DELIVER - Business Outcomes & Executive Clarity

  • Strategic Translation: Act as the "connective tissue" between the CMO, Global Directors, and Geo Leaders, translating high-level vision into executable operational roadmaps.
  • Executive Communications: Deliver executive-ready readouts, board-level presentations, and STAMP recommendations that synthesize complex data into clear narratives regarding eCommerce Alliance and Marketing performance.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, marketing operations, marketing planning, or management consulting within a large, global organization.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven experience working to develop alliances/co-op marketing, and even production management
  • Demonstrable experience working effectively within a highly matrixed sales/marketing environment.
  • Strategic & Systems Thinking: Ability to translate high-level executive vision (STAMP) into a sequential, executable operational roadmap (QAP/BMS).
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data and organizational friction points into clear, concise narratives for executive-level consumption.
  • Project and Change Management: Expertise in driving large-scale organizational initiatives (e.g., global reorganizations, annual planning cycles) to completion against strict timelines.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of marketing budgets, E:R models, financial forecasting, and expense tracking related to technology and operational spend.
  • Global Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to navigate complex time zones and cultural differences to achieve alignment across Geo and Worldwide teams.
