Job Title: Sr. Project Manager - Commissioning, QA/QC & Logistics

Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will oversee commissioning, QA/QC, and logistics operations for complex construction projects, ensuring successful delivery from design through closeout. This role combines technical expertise in commissioning and quality assurance with strategic oversight of global logistics and transportation networks. Responsibilities include managing project plans, schedules, budgets, and documentation, while ensuring timely delivery of materials and adherence to quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned:
- Commissioning & QA/QC
- Manage new construction and retrofit commissioning projects, including staffing, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Review drawings, specifications, and product submittals to ensure compliance with owner requirements.
- Develop and execute on-site testing plans; witness system startups and troubleshoot as needed.
- Lead commissioning coordination meetings with owners, design teams, and contractors.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings for audits and compliance.
- Logistics & Coordination
- Direct inbound and outbound transportation of materials from global manufacturing partners to project sites.
- Design and maintain a global transportation network to ensure cost efficiency and reliability.
- Oversee documentation for project closeouts and freight after testing and inspection.
- Collaborate with carriers and vendors to optimize service and mitigate cost impacts.
- Maintain inventory for construction site storage and ensure adherence to customer routing guides.
- Cross-Functional Responsibilities
- Interface with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project alignment.
- Support business development through proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in commissioning, QA/QC, or logistics management within construction or related industries.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of commissioning processes and logistics planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Certificates/Licenses: None required.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 2 or more employees; responsible for hiring, training, and performance management.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds; frequent standing, walking, and occasional climbing.
Prolonged periods of computer work and site visits.
