| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The mission of the Matthew Gfeller Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center (Gfeller Center) is to improve the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of sport-related traumatic brain injuries through research, education, and clinical practice. The Center for the Study of Retired Athletes (
CSRA) aims to: Learn about the spectrum of physical and mental challenges that former athletes face; Inform the sport and science communities about physical and mental health needs and challenges of former athletes; Facilitate the provision of medical care to former athletes in a clinical research setting; Empower current athletes to actively transition to a healthy and fulfilling life after sport participation. |
| Position Summary |
Job responsibilities will be to assist Research Coordinators with the
ANSWERS Research Study.
This position will be responsible for:
1) recruiting & scheduling participants
2) entering REDcap data
3) helping with in-person visits
4) meeting participants & patients and accompany them to all appointments
5) score neuropsychological data |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
1. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidate should be personable and possess excellent customer service skills.
2. Must have exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills.
3. Must have flexible schedule with early morning and evening availability as needed.
4. Have ability to organize, collect and record data with experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Course work in Exercise and Sport Science or related field.
Preferred candidate will have experience working with human subjects in a research setting, and have experience with REDcap data entry, MRIs and Neuropsychological testing. |
