The research associate (postdoc) will have responsibilities in research, mentoring and software development within the lab. The associate will help support the research enterprise in computational biology, biophysics and machine learning activities. The research associate will work with Dr. Morcos to tackle computational problems in the area of molecular evolution, machine learning and bimolecular design. Some responsibilities include performing research in independent projects as well as help mentoring graduate students, support for grant applications and manuscript publication. The postdoc will also help developing software tools for the lab and high performance computing pipelines to be used locally and in national super computing resources. |

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
