This is a 1-year contract position and is hybrid with 2x/week onsite at the CRHLP Office. Department Summary Founded in 2021,CRHLP is a nationwide think tank and interdisciplinary research center created to meet the current national crisis in access to abortion while working towards long-term solutions to advance reproductive justice. We conduct analysis and research for legal, policy, and narrative change and serve as a trusted hub for convening and engaging academics, advocates, health care providers, policy makers, and community members to reimagine the landscape of reproductive health law and policy. We also train the reproductive law and policy leaders of tomorrow and expand the capacity of the reproductive health and justice movements. CRHLP's work and impact is nationwide in scope but leverages its position within California and the UC system to maximize the scope and reach of California's innovations and leadership status in abortion access and reproductive health. Position Summary UCLA Law's Center for Reproductive Health, Law, and Policy (CRHLP) seeks a post-graduate law fellow to engage in cutting-edge, high-quality research and analysis related to reproductive justice. The Law Fellow will further the Center's mission by conducting constitutional, legal, policy, and factual research, and writing on reproductive health, rights, and justice topics to advance new ideas and impact policy and legal change in reproductive rights, health, and justice areas. Working with CRHLP attorneys, researchers, and affiliated scholars, the Law Fellow will help produce legal and policy reports and resources, amicus briefs, public comments on regulations and policy, opinion pieces, academic articles, and other work.
