The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing engineering projects, ensuring they meet technical requirements, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations within defined scope, budget, and timeline.

Network Infrastructure, includes IP Routing, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks. This business group will respond to the ever-increasing demand for higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds and lower costs.

Subfamily Description

The Network Infrastructure - IP Division group is looking for a Engineering Project Manager. This position will be in Westford, MA. USA

  • Responsible for planning and execution of open-source software SONiC NOS on the next-gen routing/switching products for application in Compute DC and AI fabric
  • Be a part of the team that will work closely with key customer and productize Nokia platforms in customer networks
  • Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Product Life-cycle management - Drive preparation, review, and follow up for product milestone reviews aligned with requirements

  • Program deliverables - Define demand and fulfillment plan for program prototypes and related deliverables
  • Schedule - Maintain and communicate plan of record to product teams and executives. Escalate key issues effectively
  • Engineering Support activities - Manage engineering support activities: scheduling, support tickets maintenance, statistics and data sharing across multiple sites
  • Metrics - Drive metrics & continuous improvements across R&D organization.
  • Work with Hardware, Software, Test, Architecture & Operations to ensure deliverables are driven, communicated and consensus built with cross functional teams.
  • Ideally has 10+ years' experience in technical program management with solid understanding of Data networking technologies and HW development
  • BS or MS with 8+ years of Hardware/Software development experience with demonstrable success in designing and shipping telecom products.
  • Experience in customer support
  • Passion for lightweight, effective processes and methodologies to improve productivity & efficiency of organization; must be able to quickly learn and apply company's business process to make an immediate impact.
  • An independent worker and self-starter who acts on issues with little guidance and understands implied tasks is a must.
  • Excellent communication and cross-boundary collaboration skills. Must be articulate enough to convey technical ideas to non-technical people.
  • Has the ability to multi-task within a single or across multiple programs simultaneously.
