Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Operations Manager providing support to the NC3 Contract, specifically the Nuclear Networks Division Front Office Group. The AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with an operating location at Kirtland AFB, NM. The NC3 Directorate's mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. It consists of an Executive Section, Engineering (EN), Financial Management (FM), Operations Management (OM), Information Protection (IP), Contracts (PK), Cyber, Logistics (LG), the Program Execution Group (PEG) and Intelligence (IN).

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA.



Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Duties include but not limited to:

    Rapidly assimilate information, communicate effectively, and remain organized to monitor progress against taskings and initiatives

  • Apply knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles and practices as defined in DoDI 5000.2

  • Utilize understanding of DoD and Air Force organizational roles and relationships to support strategic and tactical program planning (short-, mid-, and long-term)

  • Perform program integration activities including development, tracking, and updating of integrated roadmaps and schedules across a large, multi-program portfolio

  • Work proactively with minimal supervision while producing high-quality acquisition and program documentation, including briefings, plans, and reports

  • Track portfolio expenditures and support spend plan development using business management expertise

  • Build documentation to support financial requirements processes and documentation

  • Apply process improvement expertise to inform business operations, manpower planning, human relations, and internal resource utilization

  • Draft documents for leadership review, approval, and signature

  • Coordinate, document, monitor, and support meetings and conferences

  • Provide additional administrative support and tasks as assigned by the Government



Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: must have and be able to maintain an active Secret clearance.

Education: Masters degree in related discipline, or

    • 10 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience supporting Senior Air Force Leaders in a front office group environment

  • Working knowledge of Air Force Acquisition Program Management Office constructs and organizational structure

  • Ability to supervise and direct junior staff members

  • Strong customer service mindset and professional attitude

  • Strong familiarity with the NC3 mission, duties, and organizational structure

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
