The Manager, Procurement Insights is responsible for integrating Procurement analytics and market intelligence to inform data-driven decision making, value optimization, and market competitiveness. This role combines procurement, category management, supply chain market intelligence, and analytics expertise to deliver actionable insights to Nutrien's Procurement team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of category, sourcing, and procurement strategy knowledge, as well as analytical acumen and leadership capabilities. They will combine internal insights with external perspectives to support development of strategic sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives, as well identification of procurement value delivery opportunities.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team which develops advanced Procurement and supply chain analytics capabilities, with the goal of delivering actionable and relevant insights to the Procurement function.
  • Develop and manage Procurement-specific analytical models and dashboards incorporating innovations and insights through AI and other means to support spend analysis, value delivery, supplier performance management, warehouse and inventory optimization, and contract compliance, among other aspects integral to Procurement.
  • Establish and maintain a Market Intelligence ecosystem to supplement internal data insights, that provides intelligence on supply chain and commodity trends, supplier landscapes, and geopolitical risks that could impact sourcing strategies and Nutrien's supply chain.
  • Collaborate with category managers, sourcing and contracting teams, and the business to identify opportunities for value creation through data insights and market intelligence.
  • In collaboration with other central functions and stakeholders, analyze large datasets from multiple ERPs and supplier systems to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Develop use cases and leverage advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and scenario analysis, to improve sourcing strategy development and execution, supplier management, and procurement operations and capital spend portfolios stewardship.

  • Stay informed about emerging procurement technologies, innovation, supplier intelligence tools, and market dynamics.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to senior procurement and business leadership in a clear, actionable format.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement analytics generating insights from procurement or supply chain related data.
  • Professional certifications in Procurement (SCMP), Data Analytics or Data Science would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in AI, Machine Learning, Category Management, and Procure to Pay would be an asset
  • Master's degree with a concentration in Supply Chain or data science is considered an asset.
  • Experience utilizing and incorporating external market intelligence sources (e.g., Beroe, Gartner, Bloomberg, ProcurementIQ or industry-specific databases).
  • Experience working with procurement data in one or more of the following ERP systems: SAP ECC, SAP S4, Oracle, PeopleSoft.
  • Solid understanding of procurement concepts such as sourcing strategies, supplier segmentation, tiering, should cost models, total cost of ownership etc.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $105,300 - $180,500.While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
