Position Summary: The Corporate and Community Relations Leader advances Henderson Companies' visibility and impact by strengthening relationships with non-profit organizations, professional and industry associations, government partners, and community initiatives. This role aligns corporate social responsibility efforts with business priorities, enhance Henderson's reputation in the markets we serve, and supports employee engagement through community involvement.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate and community relations strategy that supports business goals.
  • Identify, evaluate and prioritize partnerships with non-profits, professional associations, and civic groups that align with Henderson's values and strategic direction.
  • Engage with local, state, and federal government partners on an as-needed basis to support Henderson's reputation, visibility, and industry interests. Monitor, measure, and report on community engagement impact and outcomes.
  • Design and manage programs that encourage employee participation in volunteer opportunities, community service events, and professional organizations.
  • Coordinate company-sponsored volunteer events and maintain accurate records of participation, outcomes, and engagement trends.
  • Serve as an internal ambassador for community involvement and promote opportunities across teams and locations.
  • Oversee corporate donations, sponsorships, and charitable contributions through the s Henderson Foundation and annual budgeting process.
  • Review and evaluate giving requests to ensure alignment with company values, business priorities, and strategic goals.
  • Maintain budgets, compliance requirements, and reporting for all giving programs.
  • Partner with marketing, business development, and sector leaders to align Decisions with client and market needs.



Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, marketing, communications or political science is preferred
  • 5 years of experience with government relations, community engagement, non-profit development, or public relations strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with community organizations, elected officials, and industry partners.
  • Basic project management skills to organize events, initiatives, and cross functional activities.
  • Familiarity with the AEC industry preferred
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described and characterized in this job description.

  • Travel required, up to 25%.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
