Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring an Environmental Engineerto join our dynamic Environmental & Wetland practice in Pennsylvania . This position is responsible for growing and leading our environmental practice. This group provides environmental consulting solutions for developers, energy companies, and DOTs on infrastructure projects across the northeast, mid-Atlantic, south, and Midwest.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do:



  • Lead and manage a team through direction of work assignments and review of performance
  • Provide expert level technical guidance related to:
  • Wetland identification and delineation
  • NEPA compliance
  • USACE Section 404 and State delegated environmental permitting
  • Advise clients on permitting strategies, compliance pathways, and risk mitigation approaches
  • Stay current on emerging environmental policy and agency guidance affecting client industries
  • Familiarity with ASTM Phase I and II Site Assessments
  • Responsible for review and sign off on technical reports, (e.g., NEPA, Environmental Assessments, Resource Delineations), and regulatory filings
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to identify new opportunities and cross-sell integrated services (engineering, environmental, construction support).
  • Develop client relationships


What You Will Bring:



  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and managerial skills
  • Confidence to lead wetland delineation teams in complex regions or on difficult sites
  • Familiarity with GIS based data collection solutions like Field Maps and Survey 123
  • Ability to endure field days in challenging terrain under difficult conditions

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range
$118,200 $177,400 USD
